In visual salute to this vital and selfless role the American Walnut wooden stock is laser etched and hand painted with various iconic images including a medevac helicopter hovering above the rhythmic horizon, an EMS ambulance used to facilitate patient care and a depiction of a paramedic and an emergency medical technician after attending to a person’s medical needs. On the wood forearm is the universally recognized EMS blue Star of Life emblem with the Rod of Aesculapius. Included is a guiding principal in text SO OTHERS MAY LIVE underscored by a graphic sinus rhythm. On the right side of receiver cover is an American style scroll pattern a 24 kt gold plated Emergency Medical Services badge next to a three tier banner with the words PRIMUM NON NOCERE which is Latin for the phrase first learned at EMS training – First, do no harm. Left side main receiver panel amidst the bracketing American scroll is a 24 kt gold plated Star of Life, a banner with the words EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. On the front left panel with segments gold plated are two critical EMS components; a diagnostic stethoscope and trauma shears. Marbles fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with reversible white diamond insert and brass beaded front sight.
